Alot of people are scared of flying, personally the scariest thing about being on a plane is if a screaming child is sat near you, or worse, you are next to a manspreading man!! I missed the mark for university, I quit rugby so I didn't get a head injury before or during my exams, only to get a concussion from hitting my head on the celling the morning I had four exams. The redirection has landed me on the other side of the world!!
This morning I woke up, on the right side of bed, just on the other side of Australia. When I looked at my phone it was 8 am, but in London it was 11 pm. It is wierd to think that as I wake up and start my day, my parents are going to sleep and my friends are going out.
Can one change so much in a year? I hope my hair becomes blonder, but I don't know what change my personalities will go through. I say personalities because my personality becomes much less pleasant when I am hangry (hungry and angry).
Last night I watched a movie with my Nain called Hotel Marigold, and the character played by Dame Judy Dench had a blog. So why shouldn't I. Being creative is where I thrive, through making vlogs and now blogs too. It would be amazing if I could monetise of this creative outlet one day but for now it is just to stay connected to my family as I am thousands of kilometres away.
I am actually writing this in the domestic terminal of Perth airport, about to board my flight to Sydney. I love airports, not just for the toblerones in duty free, the people watching is my favourite thing in the world. The airport attracts all sorts of characters and brings out the worst in a few of them. Once I watched a shouting stand off between a passenger (middle aged man) and airline staff whilst checking in our bags. By the time we were boarding there was a police escort with sed passenger in the back of a blue and white car. Whenever something goes wrong e.g. the flights delayed, I remember the airline staff have it worst. Not only has there schedule been crushed but soon a little bit of there esteem will be too as they are showered in spit by a shouting passenger that can't believe they have to wait another half hour to board the plane.
The website made this title 'about us' but I am travelling on my own. However, I will leave it as the collective pronoun because I believe it's true. My travels aren't about me, they are about the people I meet, the conversations I have and most importantly what I learn. This blog is a verbal dump, one that only my mother and grandmother may read. I thought that if I made youtube and tiktok videos, that they would go viral immediately. One can't monetise on Youtube until you have 1000 subscribers, so now I am just in this golden era of making videos I enjoy. Not famous yet so I don't have to tell you about how you need to buy this 'superb shampoo' that I actually despise.
